1. Sunday, October 13 – Church Office Nominations
• Ballots will be emailed out for electronic voting following the afternoon service. There will also be paper ballots available to those who are not on the email distribution list.
• Offices being voted on this year will be Church Trustee, Cemetery Trustee, Funeral Usher and Parkside Director.
• Ballots need to be returned by Sunday, October 27th.
2. Sunday, October 13 - Illinois Potluck and Singing at FH
Morton is hosting the Illinois Potluck on October 13th. The Illinois Potluck is comprised of guests from the 19 churches in Illinois. We are expecting around 80 guests. If you would like to join us for the singing it will begin at 5:30. If you have any questions, please contact Sisters Gloria Leman, Cindi (Phil) Witzig, or Gertie Esslinger.
3. Wednesday, October 30th – Sunday School Fall Party – 6-8pm at FH
For all students 3yr-8th grade. Pizza will be served for dinner, please sign up at the kitchen sign-up table if your kids are able to attend.
4. Donations Needed for Hospital Lumiere’s Virtual Benefit Auction & Live Auction
Hospital Lumiere has a virtual benefit auction planned for Thursday Oct.31 - Saturday Nov. 2th as well as the Live In-Person Auction on Nov. 8th at the Water Tower in Gridley. Meal at 4:00 pm, live auction at 6:00 pm. The Auction is in need of donations, if you can help, click on this Amazon wish list and the items will be sent directly to Gridley: Amazon.com or give items to Michael & Tami by October 20th
6. Update on Our Church Discipleship Groups
Currently, there are 6 women’s groups and 4 men’s groups for a total of 72 people, each group has met at least once if not twice or more. Some are doing activities together, others doing topical discussions, etc., but each group is enjoying the variety of stages that the mixed ages bring. Although the groups are already set for this year, please reach out to Sisters Tressa Leman, Sabrina Zeller, Angie Schick or Clair Huette if you would like more information and to get on a list to sign up for a Discipleship group that will start July of next year. In the meantime, we encourage you to grow in your life of discipleship, a personal walk with Jesus where we bring all our life into alignment with the way of Christ and encourage others to do the same, by listening to the Discipleship Conference talks on AC Central and reading the attachments with this email.
