Announcements

1.  Sunday, January 9 – Pizza Dinner and Family Hymn Sing 
A family hymn sing will be held at the church beginning at 6:30pm on Sunday, January 9.  
There will be a pizza dinner served before the singing at 5:30pm.  
The Bible Class will be the special group for the evening. Join us for an evening of worship and fellowship! 
Please sign up at the Kitchen Sign Up Table if you plan to attend the dinner.

2. Tuesday, January 18th is the 1st Women Helping Women-Small Group Discussion 
All women in the church are invited to attend as all have opportunities to be encouragers and helpers to their families, friends, coworkers, etc. 
We will meet Tuesdays: January 18, 25, February 1 and 8 from 7:00-8:30pm at the Fellowship Hall.
The material will be from the ACCFS online course ‘Basic Counseling Skills.’ Each evening will consist of group discussion over the material learned in the online course. 
Participants are asked to complete each online lesson and complete homework in the study booklets prior to each small group session. Please complete the Introduction and Lesson 1 for January 18th discussion.  
You are welcome and encouraged to attend even if you cannot attend all sessions. Please sign up at the information center and pick up a study booklet.

3. February 11th-12th ACCFS Cultivating Connection Marriage Conference in Latty, OH
This year's theme is Renewing your Marriage, and we look forward to a time of learning, encouragement, and fellowship. 
Registration is required for this in-person-only event. More information as well as registration can be found at www.accounseling.org/marriageconference2022  
We encourage you to consider joining us for a time of marriage renewal together!

4. Sunday, February 13th - Invitation to Fairbury Church
The Fairbury congregation would like to invite Morton and another Central IL church on February the 13th for the day. Everyone is welcome to attend Fairbury church, a lunch call, and a supper and singing at the Fellowship Hall in the evening.
There is a sign-up sheet at the Information Center for those who plan to attend all day as well as for those planning on just attending the supper and singing in the evening. Please sign up by February 2nd. Contact Sis. Tami Leman with questions at 815-848-8340.

5. Saturday, February 19 – Young Group Babysitting
The YG will be having babysitting day on Saturday February 19th from 5-8PM at the Fellowship Hall. Dinner will be provided for the children. 
Please contact Sis. Carley Baer at (309)634-9715 or mortonyg@gmail.com by February 12th if you will be sending children and if they have any food allergies!

6. Acts Bible Study in Afternoon Church Service
From 1/9 to 3/27 the Morton Ministers will teach through Acts 9-19 during pm church services.  
We will be looking for the themes of: (1) Message of the Early Church (2) Actions of the Early Church and the (3) Power of the Holy Spirit in the Early Church

7. Church Family Weekends
In 2022 we have one weekend each quarter identified as a Church Family Weekend. These dates are placeholders in the calendar for events for the congregation and encourage you to do your best to be in town and to attend.  
Events such as testimonies/baptisms, Family Recognition Service, Topical presentations, and other opportunities are intended for these weekends.  
The first one is Saturday, Feb. 26th, and Sunday, Feb 27th. We plan to have a Topical Presentation for the congregation by Bro. Ted Witzig Jr. on Saturday night 2/26 and the Family Recognition Service for the babies born in 2021 into families in the congregation on Sunday 2/27.  

8. 2022 Pocket Calendars and Directories. 
The 2022 Pocket Calendars and phone directories are now available on the information center.  
Please take no more than 2 directories for now so all families get a copy. You may take more later.
