Announcements
1. The 2023 ACCA Elder Conference Morton Church Survey
As you may know, Morton has been selected to host the Apostolic Christian Church of America (ACCA) General Conference in August 2023. While that date is a long way off, general planning has been initiated, with ~15 committees identified and Committee Leads confirmed. A survey was distributed earlier this week via email to our congregation, asking for volunteers to serve on the various committees. A few paper copies of this survey are at the Information Center for those who need to access a paper copy. Please prayerfully consider if you are willing to serve on one of the planning committees and where you prefer to serve. We would like everyone’s completed surveys returned to Sis. Dannelle by Monday, April 25th, via mail, email, or the box marked surveys by the information center so Committee Leads can finalize their committee recruitment by mid-May.
2. Saturday, April 23 – ICC/Bradley College Weekend
The ICC/Bradley Young Group is planning to host a free car wash as part of a service project for college weekend on Saturday, April 23. The car wash will be from 1:30pm-3:30pm at the Morton Fellowship Hall. It will be on a first come, first serve basis with lemonade provided. We will be taking donations towards the Illinois Valley Fuller Center. The Fuller Center is a Christian led, nonprofit organization that supports disabled veterans, mostly with home upkeep.
3. Morton Communion
Communion this year is on Saturday, April 23, at 7:00pm. It will be served by Bro. Ted Witzig Jr and Bro. Jeff and assisted by the Morton ministers. The wine will be served in individual cups as it was last year. Grape juice is available for anyone who prefers it. Please contact Bro. Jeff Neihouser. As in previous years, we will be seating every other row. There will be a fully-masked section. We do not plan to have audio or video livestream of Communion. If you have questions or special needs, please contact Bro. Ted Jr. or Bro. Jeff
