Announcements

1. Tuesday, May 8 – HarvestCall Projects – 9am-12pm @ FH
If you have any questions about HarvestCall Projects or information about what this program is and what they do the first Tuesday of the month, please contact Sis Jayne Sauder 642-1836 or Sis Pam Heinold 696-3419.

2. Wednesday, May 22 – All-Church Presentation – Leadership/Engagement 7-8 pm @ FH
As we seek to more effectively fulfill our mission as a congregation, one of the keys is broader utilization of the gifts and talents represented by our Morton Church Family. To that end, the Minister Team has been evaluating and considering potential leadership structures that would engage more of the church in leadership roles that fit their skill sets and passions. Bro. Ken Rinkenberger has been asked to assist with this effort.  On Wednesday May 22nd, Bros. Ted Jr. and Ken will share a draft model that we have developed that more clearly defines our church’s Ministry Areas and a potential leadership structure that will help us become more effective in optimizing opportunities.
While the draft concept is 70-80% assembled to ensure everyone can better understand where we are headed, there will be ample opportunity for church engagement to improve the final product before implementation, which isn’t expected until early 2025. Please plan to attend this important discussion about how we can become a more vibrant church – to edify, equip, and empower the church to share Christ with the lost. We are seeking to engage the entire church body in this process: young and old, men and women, married and single.

3. Saturday, June 1 – All-Church Presentation – Leadership/Engagement 6:30-8:00 pm @ FH
On Wednesday evening, May 22nd, we will share a draft model with the church regarding a potential new leadership structure that we are proposing as one of the key catalysts to help us become a more vibrant church. On Saturday, June 1st, as part of our Church Family Weekend, the Morton Church Ministers will review some of the highlights of the newly proposed structure and then use some time to engage the church in a workshop format to dialogue and provide input to the process. We are seeking to engage the entire church body in this process: young and old, men and women, married and single. We will also review the timetable for more church engagement in the project as we move through the summer months and into the fall.
Please plan to attend this important workshop environment to better understand the new leadership direction and to begin to dialogue and provide input to make it better as we seek to edify, equip, and empower the church to share Christ with the lost.

4. Sunday, June 2 – Afternoon Service (Church Family Weekend)
All are welcome and encouraged to attend the confirmation and installation service for Bro. Fred Funk to become a Deacon in the Morton church. Elder Brothers James Fehr (Tremont), Mark Streitmatter (Bloomington), and Frank Sauder (Roanoke) plan to be with us.
