1. Starting July 25 - Fellowship Hall Drive Closed
The Fellowship Hall Drive will be closed this coming week for asphalt work. Please use the first drive when coming to church while this work is being done.
2. July 25 – 29, 7:00-8:30pm Children’s and Adults Vacation Bible School
Adult Vacation Bible School
The theme this year is “Journey Through Judges.” It will be held in the church sanctuary from 7:00pm-8:30pm for the Bible Class through adults. All are welcome. Please be prayerful for the 2023 VBS, the ministers, the singing groups and our Morton Church. The list of speakers and singing groups for each night and their contact information will be sent out by email with weekly announcements.
Children’s Vacation Bible School
VBS is rapidly approaching this year! Our theme is “Take the Plunge and Dive into Jesus!” Children’s VBS is scheduled from 6:45-8:30 pm each evening. Visitors ages preschool (4yrs old)-8th grade who will be attending are asked to please sign up at the information center for planning purposes by July 15th. If you don't get signed up - don't worry, you are still welcome to attend!
3. Sunday, July 31st – Memorandum
During the second service. Brothers Ted Witzig Jr and Jeff Neihouser will shared a letter from the Elder Body to the churches. It is open to all including members and non-members, young and old.
4. Friday, August 5 – Video and Audio - General Conference at Bluffton Country
The Bluffton Country congregation is looking forward to hosting the 2022 General Conference on Friday, August 5th. If it is not possible for you to attend, but you would like to view Friday’s General Conference, you may go to https://www.blufftoncountry.com/watch-live to view the live stream of the speakers. The live audio feed will also be available on AC Central–Bluffton Country. Please remember to cover the Conference in prayer.
5. Wednesday, August 3 – Summer Bible Study “Reflecting God’s Love” Lesson 9
Both small groups and sanctuary teaching will start at 7:00 pm. Babysitting drop-off on Wednesday night starts at 6:45 pm with pickup by 8:20 pm Tuesday night Bible Study at 7 pm at Andrew & Sandy Rassi’s house for those who babysit on Wed.
6. Reminder of the Church Family Weekend – August 13 and 14th
We have scheduled 4 weekends, one per quarter of the year, to be held for special Morton church events such as testimonies/baptisms, church presentations, etc. The third one this year will be held on August 13/14 weekend. We are currently planning for testimonies and baptisms that weekend. Please make plans to be present. For planning purposes, the fourth Church Family Weekend is October 22/23, please note this weekend on your calendars.
7. August 23 – First Benefit Dinner Practice
Lord willing, we plan to have another Bible Class Benefit Dinner on November 12 and 13, 2022. The first practice begins Tuesday, August 23 at 7:30 p.m. and will be held at the Fellowship Hall. Most practices are scheduled to last 1 ½ hours with the last four planned to be 2 hours. It is helpful to have everyone there to enjoy and participate in as many practices as possible. If you are unable to be there for the entire practice, please come for whatever time you can. Please see the attachment for more information and the entire practice schedule
