1. Women Helping Women-Small Group Discussion: ACCFS online course Basic Counseling Skills
Tuesday, February 8th from 7:00-8:30 pm at the Fellowship Hall will be Lesson 4.
Participants are asked to complete each online lesson and complete homework in the study booklets prior to each small group session.
Each evening consists of group discussion over the material learned in the online course.
All women are invited to attend as all have opportunities to be encouragers and helpers to their families, friends, coworkers, etc.
You are welcome and encouraged to attend even if you cannot attend all sessions.
2. Sunday, February 13 - Sunday School Teacher Nominations
Nomination ballots for Sunday School teachers will be distributed after second service February 13th. It is important that the church family be prayerful. Bro. Ted Witzig Jr. will share with the congregation an overview of the opportunities, qualifications, and responsibilities of Sunday School teachers.
The church will have until Wednesday, March 2nd to complete and return the ballots to either the ballot box at church or to Bro. Ted Witzig, Jr.
3. Saturday, February 19 – Young Group Babysitting
The YG will be having babysitting day on Saturday February 19th from 5-8PM at the Fellowship Hall. Dinner will be provided for the children.
Please contact Sis. Carley Baer at (309)634-9715 or mortonyg@gmail.com by February 12th if you will be sending children and if they have any food allergies!
4. Saturday, February 26th - Topical Presentation on Singleness, Marriage, and the Church
Bro. Ted Witzig Jr. will share this topic with the congregation at the Morton Fellowship Hall from 7:00-8:30pm.
This topic is for the entire congregation and all are encouraged to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about ways to be supportive as an intergenerational body of believers.
5. Sunday, February 27th - Family Recognition Service
There will be a Family Recognition Service on February 27th in the second service.
This is a shortened church service intended to recognize the new babies that have been born into our church within the previous 2021 calendar year.
While this is an encouragement to the parents to raise these children in God-fearing homes, it is also an opportunity and reminder to the entire church family to be involved in each other’s lives as we go through the passages of life.
6. Contact Information Update for Meal Committees
For the next several Sundays, the church meal committee lists will be on the kitchen sign up table to update contact information for our Dial My Calls phone and email broadcasting system.
Dial My Calls is the ‘call blast’ program we use to send out phone calls and emails when requesting help for funeral meals, baptisms and the Easter breakfast. We need this list to be as updated and accurate as possible. Please go to the kitchen sign up table and find your name on the lists and make sure that the phone number and email address are correct. If any information is incorrect there is a space to make corrections. Contact Sis Stephanie Heinold with questions.
If anyone would be willing to co-chair in 2023, we would ask that you prayerfully consider contacting one of the current committee chairman, Sis Jayne Sauder or Sis Stephanie Heinold.
